What We Collect
When you apply to join the Finn network or use our platform, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Trade information and years of experience
- Work photos and portfolio images
- General location and travel radius
- Availability and scheduling preferences
- Your home address, property details, project photos, and project descriptions when using the estimate tool
How We Use It
Your information helps us run the platform and connect the right people:
- Matching workers with contractors based on trade, location, and availability
- AI-powered quality scoring to surface the best matches
- Sending you SMS and email updates about opportunities and your profile
- Matching homeowners with contractors and designers based on project needs and location
- Improving the platform experience over time
What We Don't Do
- We never sell your personal data
- We don't share your information with third parties without your consent
- We don't store payment or banking information — Stripe handles all payment processing securely
- We don't share your home address with contractors until you approve a quote
Data Storage
Your data is hosted on Supabase with encryption at rest. All connections between your browser, our servers, and our database are encrypted via HTTPS.
We store data in Canada where possible and follow industry-standard security practices.
Bot Protection
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms against automated abuse. Cloudflare may collect limited information about your visit — such as your IP address, device characteristics, and interaction signals — to verify that you are a human visitor. This information is processed by Cloudflare in accordance with the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Your Rights
You're in control of your data. You can:
- Request a copy of the data we have about you
- Update your profile at any time using your personal update link
- Opt out and have your data deleted using the opt-out link included in our messages
We'll process any request within a reasonable timeframe, usually within a few business days.
